Hi, I’m Danielle Poffenbarger, and I am so honored that you are considering me as your wedding photographer! My husband Adam does wedding videography, and we love working together! I'm located in Livermore in the Bay Area and still travel back down to San Luis Obispo often (our second home).
On August 30, 2014, I married my high school sweetheart Adam, in a Free People dress, surrounded by 130 of our favorite people at Flying Caballos Ranch in San Luis Obispo. It was the most amazing day, and I feel like I have so much knowledge to share with my couples, not only as a wedding photographer, but also having the perspective of a bride. I cherish every client relationship I have, wanting you to be more then just a client, I want you to be a friend. I’m such a planner and I tend to care too much, but I think these qualities make me a great wedding photographer. My work can be found in several publications such as Green Wedding Shoes, Style Me Pretty, Destination I Do magazine, California Wedding Day magazine, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine, 100 Layer Cake and more.
For 5 years we called San Luis Obispo home; it’s where I started my business, it’s where we went to college (Cal Poly!), and it’s where we got married. We lived the first 19 years of our life in Pleasanton in the Bay Area, and now that’s where we call home once again, but now in Livermore. In 2012, our family grew to add the fluffiest, teddy bear look alike named Sawyer, a mini Goldendoodle who has stolen our hearts forever. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me thrift store shopping, blogging about fashion at Hello Mrs Blog, eating yummy food with friends like sushi and burritos, or catching up on my countless TV shows (my current favs: New Girl, Silicon Valley, Workaholics, and The Real Housewives). People are always surprised to find out that this girls’ favorite music is rap, but I just claim it’s because I’m from the Bay Area! I have always been a dreamer and a doer; I set big goals for myself which nothing will stop me from achieving.
My love of photography started with fashion, so portraits will always be my favorite. There is also something so gratifying about capturing candid moments too, like friends laughing and enjoying your wedding or your parents hugging and crying while your maid of honor gives her speech. I shoot film and digital, as I think both have their place on a wedding day, but my portrait sessions are always photographed fully on film. Shooting film helps me create beautiful images that really capture the warmth of the sun and the beauty of each person. I hope you love my work and that I get the honor of photographing your unique wedding! Email me and let's talk! firstname.lastname@example.org
